Free Spirit Helical 12ft 2-Piece Power Feeder Special Rod

Free Spirits aim with the Helical Power Feeder Special was to produce a rod capable of fishing long ranges with hybrid feeders for carp but also suitable for long range fishing for bream and skimmers with cage or rocket feeders. During testing they achieved casts well in excess of 100m, so these rods are more than capable for the likes of Boddington or Southfield or for the Irish lochs.

The Power Feeder Special is two-piece since Free Spirit can make the blank slimmer which gives a better action and curve to the rod. The blank features a distinctive gloss helical wrap and is furnished with a combination of cork and EVA around a lock-down size 16 VSS reel seat. The blank utilises best quality carbons with an attractive gloss helical tape wrap and is furnished with anti-frap guides with starting size 30 to facilitate the use of shock leaders. The top and bottom end of the handle are finished with artificial cork for durability and the end is capped with a Free Spirit logo.
Each rod is supplied with three carbon tips suitable for larger bream and carp (2oz, 3oz and 4oz). These have larger intermediate and tip guides for less friction for shock leader knots to aid longer casts.
