It is now understood that using short rods to give a more compact approach to carp fishing does not reduce the distance that can be fished as much as was initially expected, so carrying a 12ft spod/marker rod would make a mockery of the compact approach. The CF-X 10ft 3.75lb SMD rod has proved itself by handling spodding, marker work, castable fish finders, cameras & weedrakes.
